What does a padel court cost?

A standard outdoor padel court, supplied and installed, is commonly quoted in the range of 20,000 to 50,000 euros depending on the structure, glass thickness, turf quality and accessories. Groundworks are usually priced separately, because the concrete slab depends entirely on your site conditions. Canopies, roofing and indoor structures add significantly on top, so always ask for the full delivered and installed price, not the factory price.

What should you check before choosing a court builder?

Ask for reference installations you can visit, confirm how many courts the company has actually built, and check whether the courts meet International Padel Federation dimensions and homologation requirements if you plan to host sanctioned competition. Review the warranty terms for the steel structure, the glass and the turf separately, since they age differently. Finally, confirm who is responsible for groundworks, drainage and anchoring, because most disputes start in the slab, not the court.

How long does installation take?

Once the concrete slab is cured, an experienced crew typically assembles a court in a matter of days. The full project takes much longer: permits, groundworks, curing time and manufacturing lead times usually put a realistic timeline at two to six months from order to first booking. Ask each supplier for their current factory lead time in writing, because it varies through the year.

FAQ

Common questions

What is the difference between turnkey and supply-only?

Turnkey means one contract covering design, groundworks, court supply and installation. Supply-only means the manufacturer ships the court and you arrange the slab and assembly locally. Turnkey costs more but removes coordination risk between trades.

What size is a padel court?

A regulation padel court playing area is 10 by 20 meters, enclosed by walls of glass and mesh. With surrounding space for access and structure, plan for a footprint of roughly 11 by 21 meters per court or more.

Do I need planning permission to build a padel court?

In most countries, yes, especially for outdoor courts with lighting or any covered structure. Requirements vary by municipality, so confirm local rules on noise, light spill and building height before ordering.

What is a panoramic padel court?

A panoramic court replaces most of the steel back structure with larger glass panels, giving spectators a clearer view. It uses thicker glass and different anchoring, and typically costs more than a classic court.
