FAQ

Common questions

How much space does a padel court need?

A standard padel court encloses a playing area of 20 m by 10 m. On top of that a real layout needs clearance between courts and to the surrounding walls, so the built footprint per court is larger than the playing area alone.

What ceiling height do I need for an indoor court?

Recreational indoor play is commonly planned around a 6 m minimum clear height, with 8 m and above recommended for competition. Confirm the requirement for your level, since higher standards apply for official competition.

What is the difference between a singles and a doubles court?

The standard court used for doubles is 10 m wide. A singles court is narrower, so more singles courts can fit in the same width, but almost all clubs build the standard doubles court.

Is this an exact layout?

No. It is a first-pass estimate using standard court sizes and typical clearances. A court builder will produce a precise layout for your site, including access, doors and viewing areas.
